Nintendo Direct Mini Reaction: Will I get a Nintendo Switch?

As a big fan of Nintendo, even without having a Nintendo Switch, I still watched the Nintendo Direct Mini announcement last week (January 11). But did it have some games in it which makes me sure to get a Switch? In this post I will go through the announcements in this Nintendo Direct.

The World Ends With You – Final Remix

TWEWY Will be back on the Nintendo Switch 10 years after releasing on the Nintendo DS. This game sounds and looks quite interesting to play as I never played this game ever before not even on the DS. It is a action/adventure rpg with a small influence of Rhythm games sort of game so that sounds promising but will it live up to my high expectations? Well If I will ever get a Switch and the price isn’t that high I would surely try it!

Pokken Tournament DLC

I am a very huge fan of most Pokemon games but Pokken Tournament just didn’t give me what I was looking for in a Pokemon game. Even though the game looks kinda cool with it’s graphics and I also like the Pokemon who are in this game. Nintendo just announced the new DLC For this game which will be released in two waves. You will be able to use an Aegislash and Blastoise together with 4 new support Pokemon. Am I going to play this game again after this DLC? Nope probably not I just don’t like the game.

Kirby Star Allies

This game looks so awesome! I loved playing Kirby games back in the where I still was a kid. But after a while I lost interest in any Kirby game. But Kirby Star Allies actually is one of those games which will make it worth to get a Nintendo Switch. I am actually looking forward to see more of this game! Kirby Star Allies has been set to release on March 16.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition

This game looks amazing as well. It kinda looks like a hack and slash adventure where you just strategically mash your buttons to kill all enemies but it actually looks cool. I only heard about this game once but never checked it out, maybe I should haha!

Mario Tennis Aces

Mario is back again in a new Mario Tennis adventure. As a kid I played this game a couple of times and actually enjoyed it a lot. So it actually sounds quite interesting to see new stuff added to this game. Things like a story mode and boss battles brings this game back to life with some new and probably nice adjustments!

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana

I played one Ys game a very very long time ago, actually never completed it, but the game was quite good. Could it live up to all those high expectations with this new addition to the Ys serie? Well the trailer is shit haha. But the gameplay and graphics look alright. But will it be enough to get me a Switch? Naaah I guess not. The game feels like a one in a dozen rpg kinda game, but who knows maybe it has something unique to it or a good storyline.

SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy

Okay this game looks like another form of Tekken or any other brawler game. I just don’t like to play them at all. And I just don’t know what people are liking about these type of games. If you want to release fighting games just come with a new Super Smash Bros game!

Fe

This game looks like it will be the best game in this Nintendo Direct but will EA Bring more micro transactions? Finally a cool and pretty looking platformer game I am really looking forward to this game. It gives me a bit of a Ori and the Blind Forest feeling. If this game is as good as it looks like I will possibly get a Switch!

Celeste

Another cool looking platformer game and since I am a very big fan of platformers, this probably is a very fun game for me! I should get this game as well if I will get a Nintendo Switch. I mostly enjoy playing platformer games when they aren’t extremely difficult haha!

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

I’ve never been a very big fan of any Donkey Kong game but maybe this game could be fun since my love for platformer games grew over the years. I should probably give this one a go if it is not to expensive. And hopefully it will be the first Donkey Kong game which I would like.

Dark Souls Remastered

I must say I really like the idea of an insanely hard game which I just can’t finish but it also makes me rage to much because I want to finish it. While I’m writing this post I also am watching a Dark Souls speedrun on AGDQ! I almost want to throw myself off my balcony because I couldn’t get past the Tutorial boss. I really want to play this game but it is just way to hard for me.

So this is what the Nintendo Direct actually gave us (not everything though). So after having Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 did Nintendo makes me want a Nintendo Switch?

Well there are a couple of games which really grabbed my attention. These games are Fe, Celeste and Kirby Star Allies. Is it worth getting a Switch? Well…… yes but now I first need to get the money haha!
