I saw a very interesting Challenge As I was browsing through my WordPress feed. Megan (A Geeky Gal) created this 30 days video game challenge where you answer a gaming related question every day! Feel free to join if you want to!

So the question for today will be: What game just made you say “I’m done with this” and instantly quit playing the game forever?

We are halfway there with this challenge, Unfortunately. But Let’s concentrate on the 2nd half of this challenge! I really enjoy participating in this challenge and it feels good that many people do like to read my posts as well. I want to thank you all for your time and being part of this community!

There are quite a few games which I sometimes really want to quit playing. One of them is my main game Rocket League. This game gives me headaches every day. I will get salty every day and I want to throw my pc out of my window just because of the game. Luckily I can keep myself from doing stupid things haha! I am still playing this shitty game even after all the shit I’ve been gone through during almost 12000 Rocket League matches.

But there are games I really stopped playing…

One of them is CSGO. I saw some friends and streamers play it and have so much fun together. So I thought ”hey that looks like so much fun let’s get it as well”. Wellllllll… I never knew why someone actually liked the game haha. I tried it for 2 hours at most, I uninstalled it and never looked back to it. I just think it was a very shitty game!

Second one is Dark Souls 3. I played this game for almost 2.5 hours straight and I just couldn’t get through the tutorial fase. That reminded me of how bad I am as a gamer. I love gaming but I don’t want to play games which are nearly impossible for me. I uninstalled the game after dying 50+ times to the tutorial boss fight…

And third are some horror games I tried to play. Think about The Evil Within, Outlast and Emily Wants to Play. I never completed any of these just because I get scared quite easily and I will literally shit my pants at every jump scare. So I start my adventure very brave, then you have the first jump scare, uninstall the game…

    1. I second Smite, haha. When I’m on a role as Medusa, it’s one of my favorite games… then the losses come, the bad groups that don’t understand MOBA strategies and don’t care to learn, etc., etc.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Smite numerous times.

      1. People who sit AFK spamming the chat are the worst, but some games can be really fun. It really does depend a lot on the matchmaking though.

      2. I don’t get it either. Sometimes it’s because other players are telling them what to do, or because they think they ‘deserve’ a better team so they sit afk so they lose faster and can find another game. It happens so often that I guess I’m just used to it now, but it really makes you want to quit playing a for a while. I’d imagine it happens quite frequently in any MOBA.

      3. Hahaha That’s one of the reasons I don’t like MOBA Games. I don’t understand them and I think it’s not the game for me to play. Even though I still want to experience why games like Dota, Smite and League of Legends has become so big.

      4. I don’t do competitive gaming very often, if at all, but Smite lets you play around with AI bots and teaches you enough that you should have a general idea of what to do before you group up with actual people. I don’t like the point-and-click MOBAs like Heroes of the Storm or Dota, but Smite plays more like WoW PVP where you’re 100% in active control of your hero. It just feels like a WoW arena battle on a giant map and it’s so much fun once you click with a hero.

  1. Quite a while ago, I ended up playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and it’s one of the few games I abandoned despite making it to the final act because I found it to be incredibly boring. It wasn’t bad per se, but there was nothing about it that grabbed me or made me want to see things through to the end.

  2. I was going for all of the achievements in Battlefield 4 when the Xbox One launched and my save corrupted. I lost everything and only had a few story achievements to go. Immediately uninstalled it and never looked back. I rage quit 1001 Spikes because it was way too hard for my impatient self lol.

    1. Oh damn I actually have a somewhat same story but with Pokemon instead. I was playing a Pokemon game for so long. So almost finished it with a complete Pokédex etc. but at that time my little brother deleted my save file. I still miss him every day after I killed him.

      1. Haha, oh noooooo.

Back in the NES days, I was at the end of Zelda 2 after it kicking my ass for a YEAR, and an old friend of mine tripped on my controller cable and brought the console off the table, crashing into the floor. It popped the game out of the console and erased my save. I was so petty that I told him to go home and to this day I’ve never spoken to him lol. I was 7!
