Pokémon Gold and Silver are one of my all time favorite Pokémon games. It was the first game where you could travel between the earlier Kanto Region and Johto region, the only game where you had to collect 16 instead of 8 gym badges and of course an expansion to the first 151 known Pokémon. But what are my 5 favorite Pokémon region? There are 100 to choose from so let us begin!
We started our 5 favorite Pokémon from each region series last time with the first region: Kanto, Be sure to write this post as well! There are 100 new Pokémon to choose from and the following 5 will be in no particular order and are purely based on looks and not on power!
Ampharos was the first Pokémon that I actually trained to level 100 in the game Pokémon Gold. So this results in Ampharos having a special place in my heart for the rest of my life. Not only started Ampharos as a small sheep (Mareep), it also turns out to be this massive electric power house!
This mysterious, beautiful and also strong evolution of Eevee is one that got my attention at first sight. Espeon surely must be in my top 5 list of most favorite Pokémon. The design is so beautiful as well and in almost every Pokémon game that I played, I trained a Espeon in game as well! Also the way for it to evolve to Espeon was quite special as well. Since it was one of the first Pokémon that actually had to evolve by friendship and it was only possible to evolve into a Espeon during a small time period throughout the day!
Umbreon is also one of my top 5 Pokémon of all time and coming back to my post last week where I said that Eevee was my favorite of all, I think I have to tell you that Umbreon is my favorite actually. Umbreon is the counterpart of Espeon as well which makes it extremely interesting. The design of this Pokémon is flawless as well and to be quite honest, I really would love to have a pet like Umbreon, goddang that would be awesome.
The first full on Legendary Pokémon on my list so far is Lugia. I fell in love with this Pokémon after seeing the full length Pokémon movie “The Power of One“. Not only was it a massive power house as well. It was mysterious and very well designed. It became one of my favorite Legendary Pokémon and surely at the end of the movie where Lugia actually got his own song as well was truly remarkable!
The last Pokémon on this list is called Quilava, which is the first evolution of one of the starter Pokémon of the Johto region, Cyndaquil. Back in the days when I still was a kid I always played silly games with my little brother, we both played as Pokémon as well. One of the Pokémon that I always wanted to be in real life is Quilava. So that makes this Pokémon quite special on this list since it has a completely different background story for me.
