I saw a very interesting Challenge As I was browsing through my WordPress feed. Megan (A Geeky Gal) created this 30 days video game challenge where you answer a gaming related question every day! Feel free to join if you want to!
So the question for today will be: What game made you feel like you were playing a genre for the first time?
Well I’ve been playing so many games. But there are a couple of games which brought me into some genres. One of those games is Pokemon Conquest. This game is a turn-based strategy game where you need to defeat other players. Which I thought was really cool. It brought me back to games like Age of Empires.
I really enjoy playing platformer games. But there are so many of them. It gives me a good feeling when a game just feels like a new genre with new additions and unique features in it. At that moment I just think I am new to the genre even though I played so many platformer games.
I recently started playing Celeste. This game gives me that feeling I am just new to the genre even though I know what the purpose and goal is in the game. I can’t wait to finish Celeste and write a review about it. So far it looks very cool!
