New Writer! Meet Scarzor

Who is Scarzor?

Since no one has seen me writing reviews for Aluna yet I would like to give a short introduction of myself prior to writing reviews on his website. My name is Scarzor (Real name Sidney) I am 26 years old and I’ve been gaming since i was 4 years old. Back then I was playing Mario with my aunt, I can’t remember too much of it though so I can’t really recall how I felt about the game. The first game I ever actually played by myself was Pokemon Blue, for this reason I’d say it is my first ever gaming experience. :-).

I may not be the stereotype nerd/gamer as I used to play sports at an elite athlete level and like to do other activities, but I can definitely say that i am fully committed to gaming since I was young. Gaming is a part of my life (yes it became a lifestyle). I am a huge fan of Pokemon and remember waking up at 7 o clock in the morning before I had to go to school so I could watch the first ever episode of Pokemon. This is where it all began for me, the Pokemon story was the first ever to get me completely hooked to something.

Years after the first episode of Pokemon was on TV they released two games: Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Red (Gameboy). They are basically the same games, but in the two different versions you can catch different Pokemon, of course depending on the version you have (I will state the obvious, I had both versions). I absolutely farmed this game out and had all Pokemon, and the main party and a fair amount of others were level 100.

Of course it didn’t stay with just playing Pokemon, one of the things I am very interested in is the story of WWII. This also lead me to playing Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead (PC). I swear to god, if eSports as alive in my time of playing this game my life would’ve been so different. I was in a clan that was the best on Clanbase (this was a webpage that kept an ongoing competition of teams all over the world). Playing this game was so enjoying, anyone could challenge anyone and most important, “toxicity” was left out.

Of course (and unfortunately) these type of games get competed by so many others that it will eventually die and new games will rise and be on the top of the list for gamers. This is where I started playing World of Warcraft (PC) at the age of 13. Of course I was again a hardcore gamer. I was in the top 3 guild (PvE) in the base game (Vanilla) on the realm Draenor and played Holy Priest back then. I raided Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Temple of Ahn’Qiraj and Naxxramas 40 weekly (raided about 5 nights a week).

Of course I still played other games like Ratchet and Clank (PS4 and HUGE FAN OF THAT BY THE WAY), Tomb Raider(PC/PS4), Uncharted (PS4) and God of War (PS4) . I can’t mention the full list, it would be too long i’m sorry :-).

However nothing gave me the same feeling as World of Warcraft (PS4) and to this day I never quit playing it. I must be honest though, I am not hardcore enough to raid like i did back in the day. This also reflects to other games I play, nowadays I play to enjoy the game, not to be the best anymore.
