Savage, nightmarish monsters roam the Louisiana swamps, and you are part of a group of rugged bounty hunters bound to rid the world of their ghastly presence. Banish these creatures from our world, and you will be paid generously and given the chance to buy more gruesome and powerful weapons. Fail, and death will strip you of both character and gear. Your experience, however, remains in your pool of hunters called your Bloodline always.

Hunt: Showdown is a Multiplayer, PVP Bounty hunter game where you will be dropped on a map as a hunter. You need to search for three different clues so you can easily find the bounty on your map. You need to use your Dark Sight (A skill every player has) to search for the clues. But beware there are 10 players on each map ready to meet you at any place on the map. After collecting all the clues you can go to the bounty which is a gigantic spider or the butcher. Once you are there you have to defeat the bounty and take it to the extraction. You need to be very cautious since players can be there early to fight the bounty before you or the are able to wait for you to get the bounty and they will eventually try to take it from you.

You can play this game any way you like. You can play it safe, rush other people, go for the bounty as fast as possible, wait for others to get the bounty or just play it smart and sometimes just extract yourself. Every way is good as long as you don’t get killed haha.

Hunt: Showdown is created in the Cry engine which will result in very good graphic quality. Everything looks so close to realism and surely helps giving you the intense vibe while playing.

The audio is close to perfection in my opinion. Hunt: Showdown is a very audio based game. You can hear every step, every branch or leaf, every sound of fire or water and it will completely make you sit on the edge of your seat.

+ Very intense and fun gameplay
+ You can play it any way you like
+ Amazing graphic quality
+ The sound effects are close to perfection
+ Easy to learn
+ I sometimes pooped my pants because I was scared
+ Big heads up to the main title track

– Some bugs with hitboxes
– Just one map
– Maybe more different bounties instead of just a gigantic spider and the butcher
– You can only play alone or with one friend

9.5/10 This game is so intense to play. It made me poop my pants multiple times especially fighting the bounty or when you get shot while you were taking a stroll through the very dark woods were you could not see anything. The sound effects are as close to perfection and the graphics are almost as good as you can see in real life. I am curious what this game will bring in the future and I will surely come back to this review after full release. This game has only been in Early Access for a few months and is already awesome so let’s hope for a bright (And not as dark as the woods) future!
