With each passing day the situation in the Norvinsk region grows more and more complicated. Incessant warfare in Tarkov has sparked massive panic; the local population has fled the city, but those who stayed are looking to improve their fortunes at the expense of others. Having accepted the new reality, savage Tarkov locals – “Scavs” flocked into well-armed gangs and started the redivision of the city. Nowadays, Tarkov is separated by unseen borders, controlled by different groups. Gain-greedy gunmen would go to any length to have their way, including the murder of civilians and direct confrontation with the two private military companies.

The players will have to experience living in the skin of one of the mercenaries who survived the initial stage of the Tarkov conflict. After choosing one of the sides – USEC or BEAR – the player’s character starts to make his way out of the city. Tarkov is sealed off by UN and Russian military, supply chains are cut, communication with operational command is lost, and in these conditions everyone has to make his own choices of what to do and how to get out of the chaos-ridden metropolis.

Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough. You enter the world as a (player) scav or PMC. Your goal is to find the extraction point with as much loot as possible. If you die you will lose all your brought in and loot that you have found. If you are able to extract you can keep all the stuff and put it in your Stash!

(Player) Scav

A scav normally is AI Driven person in the game. But you can also chose to play as a scav. If you choose to be one you will go in a raid with random loot. If you will die you will lose the loot of the scav but you will be save with all the item that are on your stash or PMC. You are allowed to keep all the loot you can bring if you are able to extract on a extraction point. Other Scavs will not attack you unless you kill one of them. After you killed one scav all the other scavs will also shoot you on sight. You can get killed by Player scavs or PMCs so always keep your eyes open!

The PMC is your playable character (Main Character). If you want to start a raid you need to get ready for it. Put on some gear, Choose your weapon, Bring in some ammunition and some health items. You can choose to go in light and with just a small amount of loot. But you can also to go in extremely geared (with the risk that you could lose all your items brought in). Scavs will shoot you on sight and other player will also try to kill you! The moment you die will result in you losing all your brought in gear. If you can extract you will gain the exp. for some leveling and you are allowed to keep all the loot and gear that you have found!

This game is in very early access and to be honest you can really feel that sometimes. Random crashes, horrible framedrops and lag spikes, Bad optimization in a couple of maps and just some other small random bugs.

But even with all these flaws this game is amazing! Going in a raid, finding some massive loot and the need to extract with all your items, but with the knowledge that anyone could be out there trying to hunt you down and take everything results in a massive adrenaline rush time after time!

The graphics look absolutely amazing and the sounds are almost perfect. Sounds are the key to high level play in EFT. You need to learn to place the sounds to get an advantage to all the other players!

EFT feels as a very slow paced game which is not made for every player who likes to play shooter games, but this game surely is the game for you if you like to play slow, stealthy and just love to get an adrenaline rush. But beware this game is quite difficult since you don’t have a crosshair to help you aim, a map to help you find extraction points or a guide with the best loot or so. You need to learn everything yourself and remember all the locations very carefully!

+ Graphic quality is very good
+ The audio is close to perfection
+ The gameplay is quite solid
+ Nice community
+ Adrenaline rushes on almost every raid you do

– Very steep learning curve
– Many bugs and random crashes
– Very serious optimization issues on some maps

8.5/10 This game sure is amazing and I really want to give this game a higher rating, but since the annoying bugs and random crashes I just can’t rate it higher at this moment. If they will fix all these issues I would rate it 9.5/10 so yeah! This game is so difficult and you need to keep your eyes and ears opens all the time. I just love to play it (Honestly quite addicted to this game). The adrenaline rush is so addictive and you will get one every raid haha. The game looks amazing and the audio is close to perfection! As I said earlier this game is not made for people who don’t like slow paced games. But you need to try this if you just like to live on the Edge of Darkness (Totally not an inside joke about one of the buy able editions of the game)

Hope you have a wonderful day,

  1. This game is slow paced… I am a casual as I not a streamer or have tons of time that I could put into playing. But every raid you are matched with players that are on different levels and squads. So it’s somewhat based on luck whether you get out a winner or not. It’s definitely more fun with people you are playing along side with you. I feel they need to implement a matchmaking system in the lobby for low level and solo players. The odds are very low if you spawn with high level and squads. I like the concept of the game but I Everytime I play, it feels very unbalanced.
